Representation: Male Gaze
Laura Mulvey is a media theorist that had an idea of representation of Male Gaze, which was the idea of the audience watching the film through the eyse of a straight man, looking at a woman for only eroitc and sexual pleasure, ie her looks. Voyeurism, when the camera pans up and down a woman as if a man was "checking out" a woman proves her points as it is often used in many media, mostly targetd for men.
